Director of Maintenance – email@example.com
Dave Scheufler is the Director of Maintenance for Castle Aviation. With over 24 years at the company, Dave has had the opportunity to become a very experienced and well-rounded mechanic. He currently holds A &P, IA and FCC licenses and has for many years, but Mr. Scheufler’s passion for the aviation industry doesn’t stop in the maintenance sector. He has also attained his commercial, multi-engine and instrument pilot certifications.
A typical day for Dave includes delegating maintenance work, assisting his mechanics, and “putting out fires” because his maintenance shop is always so busy! Even though the hours can be long, he says that he loves the camaraderie amongst the employees, making it fun to come to work. He also says he has an office nickname, but you’ll have to ask him what it is!
In his spare time, Dave loves coaching his son’s baseball team, watching hockey with his other son and skiing with both of them. He also enjoys seeing his daughter when she is home from college. He is happiest when he is spending quality time with his family. One thing about Dave you may be surprised to know is that Wild Hogs is one of his all-time favorite movies!
Dave Scheufler says, “In five years I see myself in the mirror looking just as I do today. I may have to grow old, but I don’t have to grow up.” This mentality and his ability to create a challenging but fun work environment have led to the lowest turnover department in the company and make Dave a great Director of Maintenance!
